Great dish! Simple and easy to make. I do not have a grill, so I baked mine in the oven for one hour at 375 degrees. Also, I omitted the allspice after reading the other reviews. It was delicious. The glaze has a great flavor. I want to buy a grill now so I can taste the difference. You cannot go wrong with this dish! Love the Neelys!!

I had no choice but to sub Crushed Red Pepper for Hot Sauce since I dont keep Hot Sauce. Also I had no time to make a special BBQ sauce so I used what I had in the fridge. ALl in all my version was the same idea, just altered to accommodate my kitchen.

Everyone loved the chicken!! It was a hit and we will make it again. 4 stars just because this recipe takes a lot of preparation as far as the Neelys BBQ Sauce if you wanted to do it JUST like they did. You also need fresh oranges which I just so happened to have but I don't usually. I did use my grill though, I'd love to see how this would turn out in the oven for winter months!

Absolutely scrumptuous! I cooked it in the oven at 375 degrees because it was too hot in Texas to grill outside and it was wonderful. Easy to put together too. My husband raved about it during the whole meal and I got to pat myself on the back. This recipe is definately worth trying. Love your show.

MY HUSBAND AND I MADE THIS RECIPE TONIGHT AND COULDN'T WAIT TO GIVE IT A 5-STAR RATING. THE MARINADE AND THE GLAZE WERE PERFECT AND MY HUSBAND LOVED THE FACT THAT PAT TELLS YOU EXACTLY WHAT TEMPERATURE AND HOW LONG TO GRILL THE CHICKEN AND WHEN TO PUT THE GLAZE ON. IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER---WE ARE NOT HUGE CHICKEN FANS BUT WE HAVE BEEN CONVERTED.

This rocked! I made it as written (but with bottled bbq sauce, and it was a huge hit. The glaze turns slightly hard and crunchy and tastes like candy. It was the perfect blend of sweetness and spice. I'm not a huge bbq sauce fan, but I really enjoyed the taste here. I used chicken legs, and they reheated perfectly the next day. They were maybe even better, all steeped in the flavorful juices. I'll come back to this recipe often. It was really exciting to try a combination of flavors I never would have put together on my own. It makes me want to branch out more often. And, of course, try a ton more Neely recipes!

I made this one indoors because I live in an apartment. Didn't have fresh orange juice or zest but even using frozen condensed OJ, sauteing in frying pan on top of stove then finishing in oven, before brushing on glaze, it was excellent. Still tender and juicy. I loved it and know it would be even better on the grill.
