I have never made a chicken noodle soup this good! The only thing I changed is I added more noodles because I love, love, love egg noodles in my chicken noodle soup! This soup was fabulous and I will make often! Thank you for sharing! I absolutely love your show, you two are so fabulous together! Lots of love, your fan, Theresa Pennington, Missouri!

I have made this chicken noodle soup a few times now, everyone always loves it! The dill is wonderful in it and really makes the soup special. I aways end up simmering the soup longer than it calls for to help the flavors meld together even more.

This and the Neely's tortilla soup are both delicious :

I've recently started making my own homemade chicken soups...I was raised thinking it only came out of a can! (Sad. Anyway, I've tried almost half a dozen recipes in the last nine months and this one is by far the BEST one!! I love it.

This was very easy to make and delicious. I always put my little twist on any recipe I use, so I added a tsp of thyme and for the hot sauce I used Franks red hot sauce. It was absolutely wonderful and soothing!

My family was sick so I wanted to try a new soup. This was easy and wonderful. The dill adds a welcomed surprise. As soon as we finished it, we made a second batch. It is a favorite of ours. I did add addtional broth, but everythin else was perfit!

Connie, do NOT cook the chicken before you put it in. Because you are cutting it up into 1 inch cubes, the heat from the broth will cook it just fine. In fact, after I put it in, within one minut you could tell that it was cooking well (the exterior of the cubes were already cooked. The only change I made to the recipe was that in addition to the dill, I also added some freshly chopped basil.

I had a bit of a cold this weekend, and I remembered seeing the show with the recipe, so I decided to try it. The soup came out hearty, robust, flavorful and perfect.

One aspect of the soup that my whole family loved was that the vegetables, although cooked in the soup, retained a lot of their crunchiness (they didn't become mushy and floppy. It added a terrific texture to the soup. In fact, the vegetables retained a lot of their crunchiness during the next two days as we refrigerated the soup, took it out, reheated a part of it, etc.

Haven't tried it yet but it sounds great. I was unsure whether I needed to cook the chicken first or just throw it in with everything else to cook. Any help you all can offer would be appreciated.
