Mad it twice and reduced the condensed milk. Did not want to use food coloring and found it just as delicious. Second time I juiced some peppermint leaves for color and flavor and it came out just as good.

It was super simple to make and I was excited to try an ice cream recipe without an egg base and without cooking but this was just too sweet for me. I don't usually find anything too sweet. I may try cutting back the sweetened condensed milk and adding more cream next time.

This recipe was so easy to make. My kids enjoyed making this ice cream. We did alter the recipe from Mint Chocolate Chip to Peach. The bases of your ingredients made it a success. Loved It!

This was too cloyingly sweet and the texture was just unpleasantly waxy. Another reviewer mentioned that whipping the cream b/4 churning adds more air and may improve it, but my husband was so turned off by this one, I won't even bother. I tried Emeril's "no cook coffee ice cream" and it is the bomb--in taste and texture. I think using that base recipe would work for mint; just swap out the instant coffee granules and add the mint extract instead.

I followed this recipe except for the peppermint extract. I didnt have any so my husband poured some cream de menthe in it instead. Maybe 2 teaspoons. Didnt need the food coloring either. It was excellant! Almost tastes like a grasshopper with chocolate.......I will make this one again.

This recipe is great -- easy and the sweetened condensed milk makes the ice cream making SO EASY (and doesn't heat up my kitchen like a custard-based one would

I added more peppermint and used red food coloring instead of green (I think peppermint ice cream should be pink!

Another change I made (I make ice cream a LOT was to whip the cream first until it was sorta thick (but not stiff. That makes more air in the ice cream (obviously and that makes the texture pure heaven. (And to the reviewer who asked if they could make this without an ice cream machine, I think if you whip the cream first it should work!

Definite keeper recipe (even if I changed it up a bit.

I know it's not right to review a recipe without making it, but I just can't stop thinking about this recipe. I saw them make it this morning and now it's 3:00 in the afternoon and I still am thinking about how good it looked. I would have made it by now, but I don't have an ice cream maker, not sure if it would work as well if I just put it in a bowl in the freezer?
