This was really good! I'll definitely be adding this to our recipe line up, though I'll cut the oil down a tad. I didn't have any carrots or potatoes so I added sweet potatoes and they were perfect! They gave the sweetness that was missing from the carrots and the heartiness you would want from a potato, I'll definitely be doing this again next time I make this as well! Yum! Thanks Neely's! =

Easy, layers of flavor, and will definitely make again for the holidays.

Really great. I made a few modifications--I do not cook with wine so left that out--I'm not one one for tomato in pot roast so omitted that. I did not have beef broth so used water and it still turned out fantastic! This one's a winner--Thanks Neely's!

Momma Neely's Pot Roast was a hit. I actually put mine in the slow cooker since I don't have time during the week and it came out wonder. I used all the same ingredients didn't change a thing. This will be a once a month dinner for us. Loved it!

I loved it. I have to make things a bit my own, so I added just a bit of teriyaki sauce and a little ketchup and it caramelized nicely. Very tasty!

Made a few minor tweeks and it was delicious! I doubled the amount of beef broth and red wine, because we like having lots of gravy. I added a 1-lb bag of baby carrots, we are carrot lovers and 2 cups of cubed russet potatoes. I also added about 2 tablespoons of worsteshire sauce. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Very tender but a little too strong of a wine flavor for me, next time (and there will be a next time!! I'll add a little less.
