I used whole grain linguine. I also used 9 oz of fontina cheese while watching the dish being prepared it did not look cheesy enough for my family. Which was a good thing turned out great. I ended up using to much lemon zest for me I should have used QC (quality control taste. My husband actually liked the lemon flavor. I also had this dish with Pat's roast and gravy which was the BOMB!

The bacon has a lot of flavor, but add your butter, lot's like you said,,,,and you will end up with a heart attack, you can always change up a recipe to your own taste buds. The Neely's give us a chance to try recipe's outside our "BOX", good thing we don't live in your's. Thank you Neely's, just love you guys!!!!!!

I love this recipe and now make it atleast twice a month. Alfredo is one of my favorite dishes that now I can only make at home. No one compares to this one. I strongly suggest instead of using just regular bacon go to the meat section and get four pieces of smoked applewood bacon. It really makes a difference.

I enjoyed this recipe so much! I added mushrooms and chicken. I don't like chicken breast that much so I added them so I could get more protein....it worked out great....thanks again Neelys for a great recipe.

OK WHERE DO I START? FIRST OF ALL, I LIKE THE NEELYS. I WATCHED THEM MAKE THIS DISH ON TV. AND IT LOOKED SO DARN GOOD THAT I JUST HAD TO MAKE IT. SO TONIGHT WE MADE STEAKS AND I DECIDED TO MAKE THIS TO GO ON THE SIDE. I LOVE PASTA, HUBBY TOO. WHEN I WATCHED THEM MAKE THIS, IT LOOKED SO DARN GOOD AND YUMMY. AND WELL THE INGREDIENTS ARE GREAT.....BACON, GARLIC, FETUCCINI NOODLES, CHOPPED ONION, FONTINA CHEESE....WELL YOU GET MY POINT.....SO FOR SURE HOW COULD THIS DISH POSSIBLY GO WRONG? RIGHT? WRONG. I FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS TO THE 'T'. FIRST OFF COOKING THE ONIONS AND GARLIC IN THE BAC0N GREASE WAS A HUGE NO NO. I SHOULD HAVE DRAINED THAT CRAP AND STARTED OVER WITH A FRESH PAN WITH BUTTER INSTEAD. I'M SUPRISED HUBBY AND I HAVEN'T HAD A HEART ATTACK TONIGHT. WELL AFTER THAT PROBLEM, KNOWING I JUST WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF MAKING A NON HEART HEALTHY SIDE DISH, ....I PROCEEDED HOPING IT WOULD TASTE GREAT. HUBBY EVEN SAID...WOW THAT SMELLS GREAT. SO NOW, TIME TO EAT IT. YUCH. IT WAS AWFUL. WAY TOO BLAND AND THE RED PEPPER FLAKES WERE WAY TOO HOT. AND I DIDN'T PUT THAT MUCH IN. MY NOSE WAS RUNNING AND I LIKE SPICY FOOD. IT WAS LACKING SOMETHING. SO I ADDED SALT. BUT IT JUST NEEDED WAY MORE CHEESE WAY MORE BUTTER, WAY MORE SOMETHING. THE TASTE WAS JUST PLAIN AND I FELT LIKE I WAS JUST EATING NOODLES PLAIN. IF I MAKE THIS AGAIN, I WILL NOT USE THE BACON GREASE FOR THE ONIONS, USE BUTTER INSTEAD, WAY MORE GARLIC, WAY MORE CHEESE, ADD MUSHROOMS, AND DELETE THE RED PEPPER FLAKES. WELL ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS WAS YUCH. SORRY NEELYS ......I'M JUST BEING HONEST.

I liked how easy it was to make the sauce. However, I am going to double the recipie because the yield was not large enough.

This Alfredo pasta is a winner! It doesn't seem like there is much for a whole pound of noodles but once you mix the pasta with the sauce and you take a bite; you can taste the red pepper flakes and all of the other great ingredients. The pasta isn't drenched in sauce and it is a perfect dinner served with chicken also. I recommend that any pasta lover try this one...kudos to the Neelys

I love the Neely's and made this recipe because it looked really easy to make, which it was. But boy was it bland! Added more cream, garlic, salt and pepper which helped.
