This makes a really good chocolate cake mix without the cookies. A little dry but was still good. Will make the cake mix again without the cookie and use a different icing. My family does not like the cream cheese icing.

My husband said this was my best cake ever! Thats how good this cake turned out. I followed the recipe exactly as written and couldn't have been happier. It was moist and unbelieveably tasty. I will be making this again and again! Definately a keeper!

I made it exactly as the recipe suggested. It was so dense and hard I could hardly get the birthday candles in it. What a waste of money and time! It reminded me of the texture of fruit cake without the dred fruit. Into the garbage can it went!!

Just made the cake after reading all the reviews. Cake is dry and crumbles very easily. Both cakes crumbled and broke in places coming out of the pan. The icing tastes great with and without the oreos. Would make the icing again in a heartbeat but would use a boxed chocolate cake mix next time.

Just made this cake and no problems. I followed the recipe and was careful not to over bake the cake, checked it at 30 minutes and it was done. The frosting was enough to cover the cake and add a generous amount between the layers. It's rich and moist, no need to add or take away from it-just follow the recipe. It tasted great and my family loved it. This recipe is a keeper.

Made it but unfortunately the cake was a bit crumbly....I followed the recipe exactly as it was written. Not sure what I did wrong and how to fix this problem. The cake tasted ok but the frosting was awesome! Any suggestions to help the cake?

After carefully reading everyone's comments I decided to make cupcakes instead of a normal layer cake. They came out great but I can def see how so many people had issues with the cake falling apart. I think this recipe is better suited for cupcakes. I also think I discovered the missing ingredient in this recipe: VANILLA!! I added an extra 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla and it made a HUGE difference in the taste of the batter. I'll def do this again for cupcakes b/c it makes a nice thick easy to work with batter.
