The recipe is excellent - but, I didn't fry my pies; I made the apple filling as directed with the exception of not using ginger, and only 1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon in the filling. Anyway, I rolled out prepared pie crusts (Pillsbury and cut them into quarters; put the filling in, sealed each quarter, sprinkled with water and sugar and baked on parchment paper lined pan at 400 for 20 minutes, they are absolutely excellent!

Great recipe....I agree...do not roll out the dough...just let it set at room temperature and "unroll it". My family loved it...will make it again really...really soon. Used 1/3 cup brown sugar instead of 1/4. Yum!!!!

I don't know if y'all read these comments but I want you to know thist is the most amazing pie I've ever made. I didn't have flour so I use a frozen biscuit brand and added a small amount of vanilla too. My family was so excited. I also used hard shell chocolate on top too. Thank you so much!
    Blessings!

Just made some of your Fried Apple Pie recipe last weekend and really digging it. It reminds me of the Fried Apple Pies my late grandmother used to make when I was a kid. She would be very proud of this Apple Pie. While she didn't use Maple Syrup as a part of ingredients, your fried pie came out tasting just as good. This recipe came out terrific and tasted great. Y'all did it once again!!!

I missed the "roll out" of the ready made pie crust for this recipe. "SO SO", I AM SURE THAT YOU FOLLOWED IT TO A "T".You may want to consider your room temp.,, being sun light, and preheated oven heat. Room temp.s vary, Leave the crust in the frig. While your filling is cooling, then "roll out" (unroll the crust onto a cool floured surface. Or after you make them up and crust seems soft, refig. for a few min.--Try again
Ms. Julia "Fat". I am sure if Fat was your last name and people made Fat jokes or comments about you, I am sure that you would not have appreciated it at all. Be kind in your words toward other people. By the way, how were the fried apple pies. Missed your thoughts on them.
Ms, Editorial. Life if full of miss spoken words and can lead to missunderstandings. After checking out the box (package instructioons, I found no mention of a rolling pin. If you saw the show, there was no mention or use of a rolling pin. When you typed those big words in your comments, and expressed your thoughts, I would like to know what side of your bed did you "ROLL OUT" OF? i AM NOT ATTACKING ANY OF YOU, i AM HOPING THAT YOU WILL CHECK YOURSELVES OUT.
I will rate after I try it.
Based on my comments, I rate myself a 4
