The sour cream was not a good idea...it over powered everything else. Turned put icy and not appetizing at all :/

It took longer to peel the peaches than anything else. It didnt make that much..so I will double the recipe. I will make again soon. Easy, yummy and not that long.

This ice cream recipe is not only delicious, but it's easy. The end result is a smooth, creamy ice cream. The only thing I did different was chill the mixture before putting it in the ice cream maker. I also skipped the part with the immersion blender and mashed the peaches by hand. The sweet and tangy combination is excellent. Great recipe.

excellent topping. I used half and half plus thick cream and it was very rich ice cream. Wonderful flavor and texture. Ice cream parlor quality!!

Yummy! I was very impressed how the ice cream turned out. This was my third attempt at making homemade ice cream and the only successful one. I seem to have difficulty making ice cream with eggs, so this recipe worked out great. I didnt have fresh peaches, so I used a bag of frozen. I also didn't have peach nectar, so I added a can of sliced peaches with juice. The ice cream was delicious and the praline sauce was great, too. After reading other reviews, I decided to add some heavy cream to the finished sauce to keep it from hardening too much. Overall, this is a keeper!

This recipe was exactly what was needed to give my family a little taste of Spring after a long Winter! Very easy to make and it tastes wonderful......so fresh and bright! Next time I may substitute the vanilla extract for almond.

I read all the comments on here before attempting to make this recipe...I too have a 2 Cup quisinart ice cream maker and I agree with wendy, it makes the perfect amount...I also did what Pua suggested in regards to chilling the whole mixture prior to making the ice cream...I didnt experience any of the issues that anyone on here complained about and I am nowhere near being an expert ice cream maker...The mixture was very thick and creamy..One thing that I think I am goint to do next time is maybe cut up an additional 1 or 2 peaches (depending on size and cook with the nectar but reserve the extra peaches to put in the mixture AFTER I have blended it..you know just kind of fold it in so that I get some bites of peaches as well..I also think Im going to try making strawberry ice cream from this recipe...I really like that it is so simple to do and I dont have to temper any egg mixture...i HATE doing that so I rarely will..Perfect quick ice cream to make!!!:

I have only had one ice cream, Emeril's "No cook coffee ice cream" that I can rave about, in taste and in texture. It uses 2 part heavy cream to one part half and half (NOT MILK!. I think whenever you use fruits for ice cream, it waters it down your base too much, and you lose some of that creamy texture. If you make ice cream using just powders (cocoa or instant coffee or just extracts like mint or vanilla you get a much creamier texture. I think all the nectar and the peach juice is too much 'water' for the cream to mask. So I give it points on color and taste, but texture is not 5 stars. I guess w/o eggs in the base, this is all one can expect?

This is my husband's favorite praline sauce- hands down! And he's tried a lot! He referred to it as a "life changing!"
