    The filling was to die for...just what I was hoping for...tart, sweet and very limey. I have a lime tree at home and was looking for something to do with all the extra limes. The crust however, I wasn't crazy for. Mine came out kind of crumbly and I didn't think it complimented the lime filling very well. I will make this again but I will experiment with a different crust.

    Excellent picnic dessert idea. I was looking for a great taste made mostly from pantry ingredients, I have a VERY limited pantry. All I had to buy were fresh limes. They were super easy to assemble, I did dip my fingers in flour to help pat the crust in place, other than that it was just as the recipe called for. Definately a new summer, or maybe all season, go to!

    Mmmm, these are a good treat! I thought they were very easy to whip up and the flavor is great...very much like the lemon bars we used to make as kids, except the lime is a nice surprise.

    I'm sorry to say that I just now fixed these bars, and dont understand the five stars they have received. I followed the recipe exactly, and there was more crust than filling, and it just was'nt tasty :( I love the Neely's, but wont be making this again.

    There's a lime tree in my backyard so I made these Saturday night for a potluck and they all got eaten up, so I made them again on Monday night! They are so creamy and amazing!

    These turned out perfectly!
    I only had half the require amount of unsalted butter so i used reg butter with salt for the other half and omited the pinch of kosher salt.. worked perfectly.
    I was also stupid and didnt read about creaming the butter so i had melted it and mixed it in with the flour and sugar before pressing in the crust.. that worked well too plus i didnt dirty up my mixer ;
    No complaints at all.. this was perfect!!!

    I brought these to a party & received rave reviews. One friend even commented that he liked them better than his wife's lemon bars - whoa! I grated a little more lime zest over the powdered sugar just to make them a little more limey and a prettier presentation.

    Tasty? What did you think?
    These were delicious - not too sweet despite the seemingly large amount of sugar, and not too tart. Will now be my go-to recipe for citrus bars. No need to make any changes.
