I made this for the 1st time today and it was very good!!! : my crew was pretty happy. I did make some slight changes to make thing according my taste.I added a little bit of sugar to the tomato sauce to take out some of the tang, Over all this is great and I would recommend to anyone who ask.

I saw the show and I love the Neely's they're fun and enjoyable to watch. Yes I do think that they are a little to affectionate for my taste but I love to watch them and how they interact. And if being too affectonate is what you are complaining about go online and get the recipes and you won't have to look at the show at all. DUH! They remind me a lot of my parents. Being the kitchen is a staple in my house. I am 21 years old ,still in college and when I go home it is refreshing to see my parents enjoy each other still. Besides watching the Neely's is so much better than some of these other cooks shows. Some of the other cook shows seem like a how-to on how to have fun and the Neelys just do it. Not all families are anti-social with one another. Maybe that's the problem with most couples and/or families today everybody is off doing their own thing that no one pays attention to what a family is suppose to be. I say keep encouraging us Neely's God knows America needs it. P.S the Rookie in this episode is really cute. Is he taking applications for girlfriends???LOL

I agree with the other viewers that think The Neely's are a little toooo syrupy. I like some of their food, but all that "stuff" they do in the kitchen is a little sickening.

OMG, you are so right! And the thing is, I do use my remote. Some of their recipes I have tried, but that does not mean I have to watch their sickly sweet affection to each other. Beyond belief!!!! Believe me, I do use the remote on them. Just go to foodnetwork.com, that way you dont have to listen to it.

I'm making them tonight! I'm excited to try them out. Since I like super spicy food--I'll use more red pepper flakes and instead of using tomato sauce, I'll use a light version Teriyaki/sweet/sour sauce. Yum-o-Yum!

I also disagree with the previous comment as well. There is nothing wrong with the Neelys showing a little affectionate and fun side to them. Now days almost every show out there are the same-o. It's so stage and unreal unlike the Neely's who are just as real at home or TV. With busy lives, juggling a career, and yet still try finding time to balance our family, majority couples out there do not have time to cook together and enjoy each other's company. It's refreshing to see a loving couple team up together to cook, laugh, love, and have fun on the show. By watching the Neelys--I change my outlook on some of the things I do with my husband. I include him more when I'm cooking so that he's involved--when I'm cooking--this is my time making sure my family is feed and still able to enjoy my husband's company/help. The Neely?s personalities are positive vibes and it might help influence couples out there to step out of the box, live a little, have fun, and enjoy what you have. Cooking together is also working as a team! Being successfully is being a team! Don't be afraid to think outside of the box, have fun, laugh, be goofy, lighten up, and cook a great meal with your mate. Talk about what you like and don't like about your meal and if things could be done differently the next time what would it be.

I think their show is the greatest and I agree, you can always change the channel if you don't like it or have only a complaint or cannot find anything good to say. I love most of their recipes and if i have to tweak them then thats what I do. More power to you Neelys, keep up the good work and the closeness you share. Myself and my husband could be your twins, we act the same way with each other!!!!!!

I haven't tried this recipe but will in the next few days. I have to disagree with the previous comment. I love the way the they treat each other they remind me of me and my husband. I can only imagine how they treat each other when they are not in the kitchen..lol Thanks for all the great recipes and wonderful cooking show. I love you Neelys. I hope to meet you two in your restaurant sometime in the future.

If you don't want to watch the Neeley's in their kitchen just because they show a little affection, then you DO have a remote, right? I think they are great. I love to watch them. They remind me of me and my husband, AFFECTIONATE. I will try the recipe.
