    The mustard was overpowering.

I just watched the show chowdown and the slaw looked delicious. It was!!!!! The dressing was great and I was thinking the mustard didn't sound good. I cut the recipe in half, it was just for me and my husband. I used all red cabbage and I didn't have a sweet potato. I added a little extra apple (granny smith and it was just the right balance. I have never made any of the Neely's recipes, but I am going to start!! I made the coconut cake, but I haven't tried it yet. It smells and looks delicious.

just made this slaw and was a hit .. when i told everyone what was in it they where surprised about the the sweet potato , they all assumed it was a carrot , and thought the flavor was lost amongst the other flavors .. so if your skeptical about adding the sweet potato , just omit it , the flavor is bland anyway , but it adds texture .. but all in all a great slaw .....

I can't beleive my eyes. What is wrong with some of the writers? Please just say you liked or didn't like it, OR maybe you added or deleted some of the recipe. Thats what most people want to read. No one, and I mean no one, wants to read any ugliness. There's enough of that in our world today. Please people! Can't you be nice?
I thought the recipe was GREAT!

This is by far the best cole slaw I have ever ate in my life!! The color and texture is awsome! What an addition to my table! Because of the color it drew everyone's eye..and once they tasted it? I had to come to my computer and print up a bunch of copies! This recipe is a winner Pat & Gina!! You guys did good...real good!!! Luv you guys! Keep up the good work. Your show is right up there with Ina and Sandy Lee!! My three best on the network!

This coleslaw is so delicious, I can't stop making it! I have made it just as specified in the recipe but also if you don't have all the ingredients called for just use what you have on hand.

Janey...all you have to do is give a mature "adult" review...if you dont' like it...fine...you [robably did somethign WRONG since the majority of the reveiwers loved it. How hard can it be to screw up coleslaw...come on now...

Re Gina's comment "whoever would think of putting fruit in Coleslaw?" - in Europe we always use an apple, and also a small handful of sultanas or raisins in the cabbage and onion mix. Definitely needs no sugar in the dressing. Yum!

I make you own cole slaw because my family is very picky. However, when I saw the ingredients the went into the cole slaw I thought I'd give it a try. Proir to making it I did read the commemts but I did make it and it was wonderful!!!! Everyone has different taste so we are are not going to agree, however, Janney, or whatever your name is...you were wrong with you comment, if you did not like it just say. Don't hate on the host who prepared because I am sure there are several Foodnetwork hosts who has prepared something you or anyone else did not like. So hate on your tastebuds not the hosts.
