Delicious! We will be using this recipe on a regular basis. We used a 1/4lb. of shrimp and a 1/4lb. of scallops and it came out very good. thank you for the recipe.

I LOVE THIS RECIPE. except 4 cloves of garlic was just a little much. I have used the shrimp butter now on steak, chicken, potatoes, scrambled eggs, and just smeared on toast. AWESOME

Outstanding dish, did not add all of the butter, didn't want to have a heart attack, but excellant flavor, we used beef fillets instead. A winner will make again and again.

A healthier way to make this dish: I love shrimp and wanted more than a dollop on my steak, but did not want all the butter. So instead of folding the two sticks of butter into the shrimp, I heated a teaspoon or more of heavy whipping cream in the same pot that my garlic, shallots and shrimp had been cooked in and mixed in a little flour to thicken it. The heavy whipping cream mixed with the seasonings in the pot made for an EXCELLENT sauce to pour over the shrimp. The taste was rich and awesome and without the extra butter. I will definitely make this again!

YOU NEED TO READ THE RECEIPE ! they didn't say divide the shrimp-butter between four steaks, they said to add a dollop of the butter, any one that would use that much butter deserves to have a ruined steak. I thought it was one of the best receipes iv'e ever tried and i'm a proffessional cook by trade.
the steak butter was awesome keep giving us your best I really enjoy your show. pac in washington

This is an excellent and simple rec ipe. Don't understand why you think it's too much butter. You are not supposed to use up all the butter on the steaks. If you read the recipe it says to serve it with a DOLLOP not a stick of butter.

This was the best recipe I have ever had. This meal along with the creamed spinach was just awesome. I have been telling the whole family about it. I even posted it on Facebook. I will be making this again for Fathers Day.

I wanted to do a simple "Surf n Turf" dinner for my family on Valentine's Day.
I found this delicious recipe and modified it a bit. As far as the shrimp portion, I used large shrimps and kept them whole (deveined with tail-on. I followed the recipe up to the point of adding the cayenne pepper. The shrimps became a side dish to the steak (I used flat iron steaks. The favor of shrimp was wonderful.
Thank you for the inspiration to a loving dinner! Happy Valentine's day to all!!!

I've made scampi butter in the past. So I used that recipe. Overall a really good date meal...with your special someone. I used one stick of butter and there is plenty leftover. I will use it on some shrimp or maybe chicken breast.
