This salad was great!! The dressing was light! I put it with a Zesty Shrimp Pasta dish!

This is the most refreshing salad! It is bright and lively; with just a little pizzaz to spice up your life!!! My husband's favorite! Great alone with pita bread or as a side dish...year round for New Englanders like us :

OMG, I served this salad last night at a party I had in my home. I was surprised by how many people commented on the flavors and especially by how many of the men were eating and raving it - even a 21 year old! I made this with romaine lettuce (because this is what I happened to have in the fridge, and without the jalape?o (wasn't sure how many would be sensitive to heat. The next time I make it I will used the mixed greens and add the jalape?o.

At first I was concerned with the amount of bell peppers in this salad, and the dressing with cumin and brown sugar seemed "different", but trust me, the flavor of the bell peppers and cumin just blend amazingly well. Also, when I first made the dressing and did a taste test, I thought it was a little bland and too olive oily, if you think this too just remember to salt and pepper the salad well and make sure you let it marinate for at least one hour ( I did two hours and trust me this salad will come out with some of the best flavors ever!

Anyway, this one is a keeper.

Lovely salad to go with any mexican meal. Vibrant flavors. Ciliantro gave it a nice refreshing taste.

I think this salad was fantastic even without the jalapeno. Granted I am going to try with it next time. I, also, added grilled chicken just because I wanted to have it become a complete meal. I think the salad holds very well without it though.

Regards to the couple's behavior being old.. it's cute. It's nice to see it on TV on occasion as opposed to all the violence or negativity.

I also deleted the cheese and I added a cucumber instead of using Cilantro (we don't like Cilantro. This was wonderful!!!!!!!!

Deleted the cheese, dressed it with olive oil/raspberry vinegar in addition to the lime juice. Really excellent salad.

Have eaten at Neely's BBQ in Nashville several times and the food is amazing there, too.

I wish I could watch the show regularly but I find the couple's double entendres and high-jinks really annoying, and I find Gina the more annoying of the two.

I recently served this at a bridal shower, everyone loved it. Instead of using the salad mix, I used romaine lettuce and wrapped the mixture into the leafs. I also added jalepeno. Great success.

I was interested in making the Neelys sweet heat tri color salad, but decided to read the reviews first. Several comments mentioned that the heat wasn't there.
I then observed the video where the Neelys clearly state to add one and half teaspoons of chopped jalapeno. Then, looking at the written recipe, the jalapeno is missing. Could be why those who were looking for the heat did not have it.
Please update the written recipe to include the jalapenos. I am going to try this recipe now as it still appeals to me............Thank You
