This is a fantastic recipe. My only comment is that pouring out 1/4 of the beer sounds wasteful when you could drink it.

M, how kind of you to take the time to post such a thoughtful and insightful review of this recipe.

If you can find a friend, maybe he or she can teach you how to change the channel with a new-fangled gadget called a "remote control". It's very handy when you happen to be watching a program you don't like. There are many other channels to choose from. Try it sometime!

I'm now deaf from the screaming. Have no idea what they're cooking but I bet I can figure out what else they use countertops for.

I saw this episode and wanted to give it a try. I had everyting needed in the cupboard. I have made it two times thus far and it is great. The rub is fantastic. It seams to permeate the meat and give it a great flavor. I will be sure to keep watching for more recipes. I am going to try their red beans and rice this weekend.

I saw this on the Neeleys (love them! and thought it would be good for Superbowl Sunday. I took a chance (size of the can and used Boddington's English Ale for flavor and cheated a bit with Grill mates chicken (cause it had 4 spices + salt. Everything else I used true to the recipe. It only took 65 minutes on my propane grill (between 375-400 on the outside therm. The wings got a bit crispy (my fault so I'll put foil on next time. Great Rub; I've always wanted to do this so I put my trust in the Neeleys! thanks!

My husband and I saw this on the show and decided to give it a try. I had all the ingredients for the rub in my spice cupboard. It was easy, and absolutely delicious! We will definitely make this again -- and next time, invite friends! I followed the recipe and used a can of Budweiser. I had another recipe for Beer Can Chicken which said to pour a little of the rub in the beer, which I also did -- I don't know if it made any difference, but it turned out great! I used a meat thermometer, and it cooked quicker than we thought, which was great!

I saw this recipe on the Neely's last weekend and thought I would give it a try. I used a can of Miller Lite with 3 cloves of Garlic, skipped the vegatable oil, and used the dry rub. After 90 minutes, the chicken was juicy and the skin had a nice kick to it. I'm very happy and look forward to trying it again with friends.
