I made this last night and "this chicken is bomb" was the compliment it received... The flavor was great - it was moist and tender. I followed the recipe, used the gas side of my grill, and kept the temp at 350. It was done in about about 2 hours rather than 1.5 but I used a 6 lb chicken. This dish will be put into rotation!

Fabulous! Made on the grill and took 1 1/2 hours (4 1/2 lb chicken. I set the chicken in a large cast iron pan. After it was done, I made a gravy from the drippings. Served over Ree's mashed potatoes. Family raved! The rub was perfect and will continue to use!

Recipe recipe. I've made beer can chicken a bunch of times in the past, but thought I'd try this recipe and it was really good. The seasoning and flavor was delicious.

I baked mine in the oven at 350 for 1.5 hrs. and it was not done. Had to put it back for another 30 minutes. Once it was cooked the flavors where amazing. My husband love the flavor of the skin. I also added fingerling potatoes to the bottom of the pan which where amazing in flavor from the juices of the chicken. Next time I will keep it in the oven for 2 hrs.

Tried this rub today, delicious, less salt, less paprika, less ceyanne (kid but it was delicious a must try. I have cooked beer can chicken twice now, and it was better with this rub than the store bought rub I used the first time.
