I absolutely LOVE this recipe!!! And, even more importantly, so do my kids! If your family doesn't due spicy, I would cut out the cayenne pepper. It is so easy and delicious! You just can't be disappointed.

This is the best tasting chicken I have ever eaten! You also got to try the grilled pork chops! Yummy! I will make this again and again! This is a keeper and my family loves it!

I have made this twice now and am ready to make it again! The rub is really tasty. We don't do alcohol in our home, so I used a can of ginger ale - worked great! The first time I separated the skin from the breast to add some rub in between. The breast ended up a bit drier than I like, so the second time I first dropped in some olive oil and then the rub. Also used bamboo skewers to hold the skin close to the breast. Seems to have worked - this time the whole chicken was moist and tender and just plain yummy. Thanks for this great recipe!!!

Used a 5 lb. chicken and it was done in 1 hour!! Excellent flavor, spice is a lot like Emeril's Creole seasoning which I love. Great job Neely's!!

I didn't use the grill but put my convection oven on 350". Rested it 20 min. Added some potatoes, carrots and onions to the bottom of the pan. This chicken was so moist! Delicious one pot meal.

It was fantastic! The skin is crispy and delicious and the inside is moist and tender. So easy too!

Since this is my first time making beer can anything I followed the recipe to the letter ..... My family of four could not stop raving about the moistniess, flavor and crispy skin. Cooked it on our Webber grill for 1.5 hours ..... Yum Yum Yum. I would cook this again in a heartbeat, especially for company - what an impression it would make!

Ended up cooking this in the oven at 350 degrees for 1.5 hours. The rub was easy to make and tasted so good. Chicken came out crisp on the outside an moist on the inside. Loved it!

My husband was reluctant. He thought the whole thing was too gimicky. I got him to follow instructions (especially the part about "emptying out a third of the beer can," i.e. drinking beer after I'd prepared the chicken with the rub. It turned out beautifully and he and our neighbor said it was the best chicken they'd ever had. Me, too!
