Very easy and delicious chili! The only thing I did different was that I used regular paprika instead of smoked paprika...Had a hard time finding it...My family loved it and it's the perfect thing to warm you up on a cold night!

It was hard for me to deviate from my own chili recipe, but I am a BIG fan of the Neely's and thought I would try a different chili. This was excellent! Not to spicy with unreal flavor. I did add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, which I think rounded out the flavor with a little sweetness. I also drained most of the fat from the bacon before adding the rest of the ingredients. A great Sunday Night Football dinner!

This chili is great i made it for my friends on football sunday yesterday and they loved it and i tried it too- a little to spicy for me but it was still great. I couldnt find the applewood smoked bacon , but i used regular thick smoked bacon and it still came out great!!!!

I made this for my boyfriend who does not like chili. But I figured if there was beer in it, it would be worth a try! I made it and we both absolutely loved it! The beer added a nice twist. And the chili was nice and hearty it was perfect for a cold day! I used Miller Lite instead of the Budweiser because that is what I had on hand. I also only used half of a can of beer, because I did not want to make it too salty. Great for a fall football game. I will definitely make it again! Thank you Neely?s!!

As we welcome the cool air of the fall, there is nothing better than homemade chili. Love this recipe. Fantastic flavors, easy to make. A little pricy if you have to buy all of the spices but if you love chili, you will love this one. Not for the faint at heart however....too spicy & hot for my kids but not for my husband and me.

I saw it made on the show and I tried it. I substituted cayan red pepper instead of the chipotle chili pepper because I don't like chipotle. This was the best chili I ever made. Thanks for the recipe.

Quite possibly the best chili I have ever tasted! Easy to prepare and so, so good.
I was surprised the Neely's did not include cayanne or red pepper flakes to 'give it a kick'. I added a teaspoon red pepper flakes. It added a kick but not to much. This is a great recipe for football get togethers. YUM!!!!

I watched 9/26's episode featuring this recipe (and Spencer's homecoming and was totally intrigued that I was compelled to buy all the ingredients and prepare it today.

Our weather was rainy, slightly chilly and definitely a stay-at-home day, which was a ready-made setting for this dish. I will confess that I made a few alterations. I'm not a Budweiser fan. As a British/American, I only stock Guinness Stout in my fridge for emergencies.

So I opted for Stout over Bud and added 2 tablespoons of ginger marmalade and two small Scotch Bonnet peppers (in homage to the Jamaican side of me, and a touch of nutmeg.

The smokiness of the original ingredients with my few tweaks made my chili one of the best I've ever made. I'm so glad that I chose a huge pot so that it can be shared and frozen for the future. I'm thinking about my next pot - perhaps I'll change the Stout to Red Stripe Beer.
Thanks for yet another great recipe - I just love your show!!
