I made Neely's bbq sauce a while back, and I didn't make it into the dipping sauce.. I did add a little chipotle powder to the sauce.. My smoker didn't quite get the chops done, so I slathered the sauce on em and gave em a quick burn in the broiler.. The rub is awesome! IF you use it like the recipe calls.. These were my first smoked chops and sure won't be my last! Thank you to the Neelys for your awesome recipe!

I have an Electric smoker and I put the rub on the chops and let the flavors marry for a few hours, once I cooked them in the smoker and tasted them, they were very very salty. We had to wash off the rub before we ate them, but after that they were really good!! Next I just wont put as much salt as the recipe calls for.

I adapted this recipe to a whole pork loin roasted in the oven. To make up for the loss of the smoke on the grill, I added smoked paprika to the spices and then used a little liquid smoke to rub down the pork loin. The pork loin turned out awesome! My family loved it! I served it with some onions that I braised in beer and some of the apple cider... really, really good! And the BBQ sauce was great! I will definitely save this recipe and use it again and again! Note: Even with using the rub on a whole pork loin, I still had plenty of rub left for another dish... thinking to try it on some chicken next.

A little salty...Im just learning that with the Neeley's spice rubs. But the sauce....AWSOME. I used Jack Daniel's Honey Smokhouse (it was what I had. The sauce was so good I wanted to drink it with a straw...but did not! ;o

1 tbsp.of cayenne made the chops a little too hot for some of our friends, other than that it was great.Adjust to your own taste.

You don't need to use the whole mixture or lack common sense to know it's too salty. I used it as a rub and we could not eat the chops. I have since used the leftover seasoning on other cuts of meat, sparingly, and it added great flavor.

Its Just like a rub you buy at the store in a big container, you use what is need for the meat your using it on and put it back in the cabinet you dont use the entire container on the meat duhhhhhhhhhh. make Pats rub and you save the rest for another day. Geeeeeez a little common sence goes a long way kind of like salt.
