These cupcakes are very yummy, but as other reviewers said, they are quite dense. Definitely worth making!

These cupcakes were amazing!! They were a little dense, but nothing a big glass of milk can't help!! The frosting was very tasty. Everyone at work loved these and requested more. Even my very picky husband didn't have one negative thing to say, which is unbelievable! Thanks for the recipe. It will be made again!

These were certainly heavy cupcakes. Mine turned out sticky in addition to being dense. A lighter cake would have been suited better for the peanut butter and jelly part of it considering that the cream cheese frosting was also very thick and sticky. Also, wasn't a big fan of the P.B./cream cheese combo, less so of the P.B./cream cheese/sour cream combo. The one thing these cakes have going for them is that in the end, you do feel as though you ate an entire peanut butter and jelly sandwich after only a few bites, so there is no false advertising going on here.
If you do not have a glass of milk next to you, or are not planning on straining a muscle just gulping these suckers down, I would not recommend making them.

I've made this recipe twice. Once I followed the recipe exactly and one I used a store bought cake mix. I love the flavor of this cupcake but the cupcake recipe didn't come out very well for me. The cupcakes didn't rise much and stuck to my muffin papers. The batter seemed pretty thick...not sure what I did wrong. Still love the flavors though and I will make again!

i just made this lastnight and i thought it was delicious but the cupcake itself was very dry and i thought the dryness of that with the peanut butter made it difficult to eat i definatly needed a glass of milk with it. but the frosting was delicious with the jelly. I almost felt like i was eating an uncrustable lol... im definatly going to to this again but maybe substitute the sour cream with vegetable oil and see how it comes out.. (crossing my fingers

If you are looking for a light, moist, creative cupcake-- this is really not the right recipe for you. I am not a fan of using sour cream in cake batter, and in this case you can totally taste it. That plus the cream cheese frosting (which, by the way, took a lot of extra powdered sugar to get to pipe-able, palatable texture made these cupcakes a little sour... and sourness has nothing to do with peanutbutter and jelly, in my opinion. lol. Plus they came out pretty heavy! Honestly I probably could have improvised a better recipe on my own, and I am just an average baker. So if any of this review resonates with you, I'd recommend just using the idea to tweak your own recipe-- that's what I'll do next time.

I hate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My mother always made me cream cheese and jelly sandwiches.....OMG! I loved them..........BUT the icing has cream cheese mixed with the peanut butter and sounds amazing. I will use box cake though. I definately want to try it!

The cake batter was very time consuming to make and it was dry! I could hardly eat the cupcake. I agree with Tanya.....can't someone come up with a really moist and delicious cake batter recipe? The filling helped and the frosting was really great. I wish I had just used a yellow cake mix from a box. I think it would have been better. The recipe actually made 16 cupcakes. I also had to add another 1/2 cup of powdered sugar to the icing.

The only hard part for me was the jelly filling. We loved it and I am going to try it again.
