Make sure that the pecans are finely chopped. I used only 2 inches of oil in my skillet and had no problem with the pecan mixture sticking to the catfish. This was wonderful. We served them on Pretzel rolls Will make again. This would be good with another type of similiar fish. I am going to try this with walnuts, almonds or cashews. This has some great options.

If u use the exact ingredients it was perfect. I think to avoid the pecan not sticking u have to use a deep fryer with the basket. The basket kept the fish in place and cooked it and everything stuck together. I can see where in a regular pan of oil the pecans could fall off if the fish is just floating in there!

This was a nighmare for me....followed the direction but could not get the pecans to adhere to the fish...while deep frying the fish, almost all the pecans fell off into the oil...
