Excellent, easy dish! My husband is pretty wary of new food (grits but he LOVED these and everything else in the dish. Definitely a do over-no leftovers tonight!

my husband loved this! He told me I out did myself this time...I added some old bay because it was not very spicy at all. I sent this recipe to my daughter to fix for her man....

This was a very easy recipe and it was very delicious! I prefer a more cajun flavor to this dish since I have New Orlean's roots! So, I used Emeril's Original Essesnce seasoning on the shrimp! Yummy!!! It really kicked it up a notch! :- The recipe for the seasoning can be found in many of his recipes. Also, I like for my grits to be super creamy, so they cooked on a low heat for about 30 minutes. I didn't have any sausage or parmesan cheese on hand. So, I used bacon and cheddar. My husband LOVED it!!!!! He can't wait for me to make this for my mother-in-law!

Delicious! Wouldn't change a thing, except maybe a pinch of cayenne.

I lived in the South for many years (SC, NC, LA, and MS and had shrimp and grits many times. In fact lately, I've ordered it in some of the "nicer" restaurants that declare theirs to be the best. Theirs was good but I keep coming back to this recipe...this simple recipe is far tastier than the others, with creamy grits and a light sauce with the shrimp, both of which actually seem to taste better together than alone! I've made it several times for friends and as much as I try to keep some for the next day, they keep scrounging in my fridge for more.

I've lived in Charleston,SC for 12 years now so I can say I've eaten a lot of shrimp-n-grits. This recipe is awesome and so easy too!
