I want to try this recipe, but have the same question as another reviewed. The recipe calls for 1 cup panko bread crumbs, but directions call for 2 cups.

I loved this recipe. I have made it twice for my husband it was easy and delicious. The jalapeno relish was the best. The longer the relish sat the better it tasted. I tried the relish with white onions and red onions and it was great both ways.

Made the shrimp cakes this weekend and they were a hit with my two teenage sons and a friend. I wasn't sure if I'd like the corn so I omitted it and they were still very good. Also, I didn't make the relish, I'll try it next time. It's a simple recipe that didn't take a lot of time, will make them again. Thanks Gina and Pat.

Made these for company tonight, and allthough they tasted great, they really fell apart. I noticed that the recipe calls for 1 cup of panko bread crumbs, but in the instructions, it seems that there is a cup for the cake, and a cup for coating. Should the cup for the filling be regular fresh bread crumbs? If anyone knows, please comment

This was an all around good dish. Flavorful and different. The relish went well with the shrimp cakes, although I believe it would have been much better if I had used some fresh ripe local peaches. Well, you can't have everything this time of year. Anyhow, my company loved the dish.

I made this recipe for my husband and I last night. Thank you. My husband is a picky eater so I was thrilled when he enjoyed this recipe. Can't wait to make it for my next gathering. Love you both and your show. Keep those great recipes coming.

I made this recipe exactly as it was written. I like the idea of shrimp cakes and the cakes held together very well but they lacked flavor in my opinion (but my boyfriend thought the flavor was good. We both agreed that the peach relish was just "okay." I might try making this dish again if I add more seasonings and serve it alongside some other dishes this summer.

I used frozen peaches that were thawed out, and the salsa was amazing. Simply a wonderful recipe with a celebration of flavors that I will make again and again! Be sure to wash under your nails after handling the jalapenos - you would be surprised how this burns when it finds your eye hours later! :- Thanks for a wonderful show and wonderful food.

This meal was a hit! I made everything from the "Give it a Kick" episode. The peach salsa was delicous and the perfect compliment to the shrimp cakes. The salad was a perfect companion to the cakes. The peach salsa was so good, I ate it by itself the following day. After making this for dinner, I watch the Neelys every Saturday morning. I know I will have a perfect dinner that night! Thanks Pat and Gina for making me a star in my home.

Made this recipe but substituted crab instead of shrimp since that is what I had. Otherwise, I followed recipe exactly and they were wonderful!! Panko bread crumbs are a must! They make the cakes so crispy and tender!! The peach jalapeno relish was AMAZING!!! I used leftover relish on grilled chicken the next night, but honestly I could have just eaten the whole bowl with a spoon!
You HAVE to try this recipe!!! Thanks Neely's! As always, your recipes don't disappoint!
