Great dish! Perfect for my hungry soccer players! I "cheated" and used a rotisserrie chicken for both white and dark meat and to save time. I also used brown rice and it worked just as well. Will definitely make it again!

So easy and tastes amazing!!! I used a chicken breast instead of the thighs, and shredded it into the mixture. Sooo delicious!!! Thanks Neelys!

I hate to review recipes when I haven't used all the ingredients but I did want to remind myself of what I did leave out and the result, LOL. I did not use chicken nor did I have fresh parsley. I did add a minced jalapeno & extra garlic. The result was tasty but no heat, a bit salty (didn't add salt, must be from the chicken broth, no taste of the fresh thyme, and dry (had to add 1/2 cup more broth to get the rice cooked. I would make it again but definitely would jazz it up with black pepper and more thyme.

This was the BEST jambalaya I have ever made! The taste is wonderful! I made it the first time I saw the TV episode and I am making it again, this time all for me! Kids came over to visit and ate it all last time. This is my new comfort food!

Thank you for such a wonderful new recipe!

Pam- I'm from the south and we use okra a lot of times in jambalaya instead of tomatoes. If your from the north, they do offer it in the freezer section. You may have to add in a little more chicken stock because it doesn't have the juices that the canned tomatoes have. Hope this helps!

This recipe was easy to prepare. I followed the instructions to cook for 20 minutes and the rice was done just right. I used my 6.75 qt cast iron dutch oven and our family recipe for collard greens. My family enjoyed it so much they had to have seconds.

I watched this show this morning and instantly I knew what I would be making for dinner tonight. My whole family LOVED this jambalaya! Very tasty! Only alterations I made was adding about a 1/2 cup more of the broth and used dried thyme instead of fresh. Oh... and who can forget the hot sauce! YUM! As for others having trouble with their rice not cooking through, I always rinse and run my rice under water for a little bit before cooking. This helps the cooking process. Having lived in N'awlins previously for 4 years, this recipe definately hit the spot! Oooooeeeeeeee!!! :
