I saw this show for the recipe on Thursday and the meal looked really hearty and something that my family and I could all enjoy. I have to say it turned out really well. It did take me I believe at least 30-45 minutes to fully cook the chicken and rice. I also made it w/o the bay leaf and parsley and it stil turned out well. MY HUSBAND LOVED IT! Cant wait make it again.

Just finished and have tasted it: VERY flavorful....I had to add a bit more chicken broth to ensure the rice was fully cooked. Delicious hmmmm good!

Great. It does take longer than the 20 minutes to cook. My family loved it .

Very good! I got all of my ingredients chopped and prepared before I began cooking this dish. Didn't take long at all to prepare. I followed the recipe exactly except my husband and I thought it needed a little heat so we added a little hot sauce to it. Thinking about adding a little jalapeno pepper next time. It turned out wonderful and tasted great. Will make again.

Easy and tasty! The cooking time took longer for me because I have a small dutch oven. My family loved it. This one is a keeper!

Watched the Neelys make it on Monday.. bought the ingredients on Tuesday.. made it on Wednesday. Very tasty! I made another Jambalaya recipe recently and it had you make the rice separately. I liked this one better, where the rice cooks with the meats and veggies. I will definitely make this one again.. and again.

Loved it. Amazing flavors. My only problem, was that it took longer to cook than the recommended 20 minutes. After the initial 20 minutes, the bottom was cooked, but the top was still hard. I continued cooking for another 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Also made a vegetarian version with shrimp and Italian style Tofurkey for my son. Also, very tasty. Think I will pass on the Zatarains from here on out =

This recipe was super delicious and I followed the recipe to the "T" but the end result had a semi-overpowering chicken broth taste. Next time I will will add a can of tomato sauce also just to dillute the broth taste a bit so it doesn't overpower all the goodies. Other than that it was FANTASTIC and my Hubby called this one definitely a keeper.

I immediately tried this recipe after seeing it on tv. My husband and grandchildren thought this was wonderful. I have tried other recipes, but this one by far is excellent.
