I have made the marinade for the shrimp several times now and it is definitely my "go-to" recipe for grilled shrimp. It's not too spicy hot which I love. I have yet to make the sauce as it really isn't needed. The shrimp stand alone perfectly. I should try to remember to make extra marinade and cook it a bit to thicken as a reviewer did. That would be delicious.

Our 2 year old & 7 year old couldn't eat it fast enough! Our family of four LOVED the shrimp & sauce. The flavor makes it hard to believe it is so easy to make!

This was my first attempt at making shrimp on my grill. Just recently I had grilled shrimp at two different barbecues, which made me want to try it on my own. WOW! What a great recipe. When I tasted the marinade on its own, it tasted bland to me, but when I tasted the grilled shrimp it was so flavorful. My husband said, "Don't change this recipe one bit, it's so much better than the shrimp we had at our friends. Thank you Neelys!

The marinade and grilling with llime is so good the sauce is not really needed. The sauce is good but needs more sweet chili sauce and much less Chinese mustard.

    A definite keeper.

A very good recipe although we like a little more heat. Skip the dipping sauce and reduce the marinade until syrupy and pour over the shrimp - delicious!

I made this the other night and loved the shrimp. I used a little extra basil and red pepper flakes. I don't think it needs the cocktail sauce as my husband and I liked it better without. The cocktail sauce was better, however, with less of the chinese mustard and more of the sweet chili sauce. I will definitely make this again and again.

I have tried several of the Neelys' recipes and this one was excellent as well. The combination of sweet and spicy was PERFECT! This is a crowd pleaser for sure! The dipping sauce is unique all on its own and DELICIOUS!
