i made the sauce and rub (except only half the salt... other reviewers said that there was too much salt so i only did half... and i was perfect, no need for the extra exactly like the recipes said. but i used baby back ribs instead of spare ribs. i also cooked them covered in the over for seven hours at 185 degrees. than i moved them to the grill and sauced both sides and cooked for another fifteen minutes.

the results were truly amazing... i had 12 guests who will also say they were some of the best ribs they ever had. so tender and favorful.......yum!

oh the one other thing i used that was different..i didn't have regular chili powder so i used the hot-mexican style chili powder i had. i think the spice(not really spicy at all of that mixed with the sweetness of the sauce was nice.

This dish was the first time I have made ribs and thank you, thank you, thank you Pat and Gina! This is now a favorite and I have made them 3 times already. Each time I make them I get rave reviews.

This was my first time making BBQ ribs and they turned out excellent! The cook time on the grill was about half of what the recipie called for, but everything else was great. The homemade sauce was very good as well!

I've always cooked my ribs in cola in the crock pot, until the meat falls off the bone. I used have the seasoning the recipe requires and add liquid smoke. My ribs still turn out delicious. My husband loves my crockpot cola ribs. I save more time and less mess.

This is a great recipe. I would cut back the chili powder to about 3/4. (Just my taste. I did mine in the oven for an hour and a half and then basted them and grilled for 20 minutes on a gas grill turning and basting every 5 minutes. These were some of the best ribs I've had and definately the best I have made.

These have to be the best ribs I have ever eaten!!!!!! The hickory chips are essential for flavor! Takes a bit longer to cook than suggested but it is well worth the wait! We will absolutely be making these ribs again soon!

I just used the rub and had some rudy's sissy sauce so I used that on top. I think the rub was fine but I prob would have used a only a third cup salt or even just a sprinkle especially here if u use there sause because there is salt in that too. took away from the meat.

I dont have a grill so I placed them on a rack on a roast pan. added water to the pan and cooked till done glazed with sauce and put under broiler for 4 min or so.

Loved both the rib sauce and the rub....added less salt to the rub...but after many years of cooking the ribs in other ways this was the best. We cooked it over coals and hickory chips...the first time my husband was al little ansy and took them off the grill to early, the next time he cooked them longer and super. I do miss good grilled foods...we are going to try this with the beef ribs and know that it will be just as good....thanks guys

I have made this sauce for other stuff that I've barbequed and it worked on all of it. I've even tinkered with the suace by adding a little honey to make it sweeter or hot sauce for a bit on the spicey side. Also I have had to use regular vinegar which works just fine, and once had lime juice instead of lemon and was pleased that it turned out just as good.

I haven't made these yet but I want to. But I have 1 question. How will these work on a gas grill?. I live in a community where you can't use charcol, so now I need some input, cause those ribs looked delicious!!!
