I havn't made this yet, but I would love to make it, the only question I have is how long do you bake the sweet potato's before you start? Sorry, I'm not that experienced of a cook yet.

I,actually loved this pie. It was great! The only thing I would change would be to leave out the allspice. Then I would have given it 5 stars. Great pies tartlets though.

This is Fabulous Gina&Pat!One suggestion~Sweet Potatoes in Summer really heat up a Kitchen, not to mention the House! Try this method:2 Large Sweet Potatoes peeled, cut in Strips and cubed into an equal size.Place in a Sauce Pan with a small amount of Liquid.Lid on and cook on medium~low heat. They give up a lot of Moisture. Then, can mash in Sauce pan and add Spices.Makes huge difference.Continue from this point with Sweet Potatoes in recipe.

This was soooo wonderful I even passed around tasting spoons in the lunchroom! We love the Neelys' attitude. It's nice to watch uplifting, informational and above all fun T.V. after working all day!

This is a great recipe. It's not too sweet...everything was just right. I think I used too much sweet potato though. It didn't affect the taste, but affected how much I had left over. I ended up making an entire pie out of the remainder. Good job Neelys. This was a simple recipe that was very easy to make, but didn't sacrifice on taste!
