You are supposed to rate the recipe not give your own opinion on the author of the recipe. Has anyone actually taken the time to bake these cookies before you pass judgement on whether or not you like it?
Get a life and start baking and stop judging people based on what shape they cut the cookie into! They are obviously good at what they do - they are on Food Network and you are not!!

Remember our younger generation that doesn't have a good Sugar Cookie recipe. I know before Food Network a sugar cookie recipe was hard to find in the 'regular' cookbooks. Try to find one...........So I say Thank You to the Neely's for sharing a 'standard' recipe that can be passed down to the younger generation.

Yes, this recipe is similar to others, but it?s fun to know what the Neelys' like to bake for Christmas and I love that they use the pig shape! This has given me a great idea for new sugar cookies for Christmas, which my friends and family are sure to love!!! I have dozens of cookie cutters and it'll be fun to decorate different cookie shapes with holiday colors for Christmas, other than your average trees, stars and angels, etc...
Thanks Neelys ~ I love it!

I wait all year for my 12 Days of Christmas Cookies too. This is quite the disappointment and waste of time...someone who is really talented, could of used this space for their delectable Christmas cookie recipe. Christmas cookies are suppose to be a special recipe, I guess they weren't listening in class.....frankly, she is sickening to watch, he is not too bad....The Neely's are not chefs nor are they bakers and should be taken off the air.......

I wait all year for my 12 Days of Christmas Cookies. This is nothing unique or original. I expect an outstanding cookie recipe that I can wow my guests and family with during the hoildays, I even try them out on my co-workers. This recipe is mundane and a waste of a Cookie Day. The Neely's are not bakers.

Has anybody who actually made these cookies have something to say. Yes I have made sugar cookies every year for as long as I can remember too but I love to try new versions and would like to know if anyone has anything constructive to say about this particular recipe.

Nothing wrong w/ the cookie recipes but I agree w/ Disappointing!! We all already have these kinds of simple recipes. We are looking for The Food Network to give us 12 Days of something fun and new, not tried and true., favorites or not...
Love the Neelys and pink pigs are exactly what I would have expected to see around their house for the holidays. No reflection on Gina at all, love her!

This is about their favorite cookie for Christmas. 12 shows are picked and their favorite recipe is printed. Everyone has a favorite sugar cookie for Christmas and they are all slightly different. You can always look under cookie recipes if you just want something different. But the 12 Days is all about Sharing Favorite Recipes.

Pigs, Pickles and Lady Bugs are all signs of good luck in Europe, all of your Christmas Markets has Christmas cookies in the shapes of pigs, pickles, and lady bugs.

She LOVES pigs. If you have never watched their show, everything in her house is pigs (cookie jar, butter holder etc..
