I found this recipe difficult to do using the skewers. I used toothpicks instead and it was wonderful. I am not a fan of Asparagus and neither is my family but they threw down on these. They were excellent. I found a pound of Asparagus to be too much and I also cut my bacon in half. All in all the Neely's hit the nail on the head with this one. This will definitely be on my grill each and every time. Thanks Pat and Gina

From my childhood I was an asparagus hater! Little did I know that there were better ways to cook it (sorry Mom! and that it could taste so good, Neely's...I love you both! Your show is fun and easy to follow. I will be a lifelong fan!

Made this veggie for my family 4th of July BBQ, even the kids loved it!!!!
I wrapped the bacon around two pieces of asparagus instead of one and held it together with tooth picks. No extra salt added because of the bacon. NEELEY'S "YOU ROCK".

I tried this and it came out great . You do have to keep an eye on the asparagus while it's cooking I recommend not leaving the grill for more then two minutes at a time and cooking it on a very low heat . My husband doesn't even like asparagus and he ate every bit of what we cooked.

I lovingly wrapped these asparagus this afternoon. I even soaked the skewers which were not included in the Neeley recipe. I put the asparagus on the grill and checked on them 5 minutes later. All of my items burned to the crisp and were closer to being cremated than they were edible. Literally they were all grey and black.
The recipe didn't specifically say whether the grill cover should be open or not, I had my grill on low, (recipe suggested medium high, but I did close the cover.
I usually love their recipes, but this one was a disaster!
