The spices really make these wings pop! I mixed up the dry rub using the recipe found elsewhere on the site (paprika, salt, onion powder and then made up some wing seasoning. I modified the recipe slightly, I cooked the wings at 375 for exactly 10 minutes in my Presto Digital ProFry deep fryer (which is the same one they use on the episode and perfect for cooking wings. Cooking it at the higher temp gives you a crispier skin on the outside of the wings.
I cheated a little bit and used some Medium sauce purchased from Buffalo Wild Wings then lightly sprinkled the wing seasoning. I was pleasantly surprised that you could taste the lemon pepper through the hot sauce. The lemon pepper gave a nice citrus tang which complimented the heat perfectly. I'll have to try these again using Pat's sauce recipe when my bottle of BWW Medium runs out.

I loved the flavor of the wing sauce. We did not have the right vinegar, but what we had worked just as well. We liked them so much that we made a second batch the next day.

Made these yesterday with the dip and sauce. It was so good. I made a side Caesar salad and everything just was so good.

My boyfriend always gets so bent out of shape when I watch the Food Network. Saturday morning I was watching the re-run episode of these wings and he said "omg lets make these". So thats just what we did! Wow, they are amazing. I tried one before we added the sauce and they were great like that! We ended up eating half without sauce and half with. I did not add garlic to the butter because we added some garlic powder to the rub. I served this with Gina's "Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw" , Weight Watchers Mac n Cheese, side of the blue cheese dressing and buttermilk ranch (my bf doesnt like blue cheese and a big glass of pink lemonade on a hot summer Texas day. We will def make these again and have already raved to our friends they need to do the same! I will also try to bake them.

i would just like to correct the recipe for the dry rub:
its...1and 1/2 cups of paprika
3/4 cups of sugar
3 and 3/4 tablespoons of onion powder, (tablespoons, not cups
for those of you who are looking for the recipe.

The dry rub recipe can be found in the recipe for their smoked ribs, Search the site for Mephis style hickory smoked ribs and it is the first one that comes up. There is a video that shows how they make the ribs and it shows you how they make the rub. Very easy. The wings are outstanding with this rub on them
