This is extremely easy. I browned up ground beef, Italian sausage and onions first. Then I added that with all the other ingredients (except for the sugar in my crockpot and cooked on low for 4 hours. My family doesn't like sweet spaghetti sauce, so I kept out the sugar and it was perfect.

This recipe is so easy, tasty and always gets good reviews from friends. I've made this recipe about 8-10 times now, and turns out great each time. I usually end up freezing 1/2 of it, because it makes a good amount and reheats deliciously.

I love this recipe but I don't like my sauce to sweet so watch the sugar to taste.I only put in 1 tablespoon.I used my own tomatoes from the garden and it worked out great.

This is by far my favorite speghetti sauce - and so easy. The only thing I do differenly is chop the stewed tomatoes. I tried the small diced tomatoes but I was surprised that i could taste the difference. Highly recommended!

I was tired of the canned pasta sauces so tried this one. It is delicious! It is easy to put together and doesn't take long to cook. I have also frozen and vaccuum sealed this sauce for future meal.

When I normally make spaghetti I make it a totally different way...Mom's way. But this sauce from SCRATCH was so easy to make. It taste much better if you make your own Italian seasoning (which is extremely easy as well and I'd suggest only 1 tablespoon of sugar because the first time I made it with 2 tablespoons, as instructed, and the sweetness took away from that hint of spice you hope for in Italian foods. Overall it's a great recipe for beginners, such as myself, to get comfortable and confident preparing their own meals with fresh ingredients.

Let me just say, the first time I tried this recipe, I replaced the tomato paste with more diced tomatoes, and I left out the green bell peppers; both only because I didn't have them. The second time I had everything. The only difference was that I added an extra clove of garlic because I love it, and I only added 1 lb of ground beef because I was too lazy to separate another package. It came out great, even with the same amount of everything else! The paste made it the right, thick consistency, and the peppers add liquid and flavor. It is more sweet than canned "red sauce", but I like it because of that. It's different. It's hearty and I love veggies. Pure sauce would be kind of a bore to me. If I can do it, and have my boyfriend ask for seconds, you can make it and love it, too!
