After watching Paula create this sauce, I had to give it a try. It looks a bit thin when you first put all of the ingredients together, but the paste thickens it up during the simmer. The recipe couldn't be easier and the flavor is outstanding. I served it with homemade ziti made with fresh basil, oregano and parmesan. I wouldn't hesitate to serve it to guests as I am certain that it would be a big hit. I added 2 stalks of chopped celery because...well, I like celery for the fiber. Give this recipe a try...it's a keeper for sure!!!

Very easy to make, but it was too sweet for my personal taste. Not only was it sweet, it really didn't have any taste at all. Sorry, didn't care for it. Matter of fact we didn't eat it and I threw it away.

My family enjoyed this sauce, and I enjoyed making it! It was very tasty, and the overall rating my family gave is a "B+". We all liked the flavor, the sugar cuts the acid of the tomatoes a bit without making the sauce too sweet. We will have this again. Good sauce!

I made this for dinner last night. It's surprising how easy, yet how delicious this recipe is. I added a little bit more sugar and also some parmasean cheese to the sauce. The green pepper adds great flavor, too. I DIDN'T add the stick of butter like Paula recommends!

Thanks for this delicious recipe! My husband & I were WOW'd last night. After watching this episode of Paula, I had to make this recipe. Very easy!
I blended up the onion & pepper in the blender, then saute'd the onions & pepper first then added the ground chuck. Then drained the meat. Then made my red sauce. Will be making this recipe more than purchasing sauces at the store!
Thanks Paula for this awesome recipe!
Garlic bread makes this a great dinner!
(leftovers are just as good!

I made this tonight for dinner and it was yummy!! The only thing I might do differently next time is cut down on the sugar. Other then that it is very easy to make and I didn't even have to go out and get any special ingredients. I had everything in my pantry which was a time saver.

My family loved this spaghetti sauce. It wasn't your "typical" sauce and it was really easy to make. Every recipe of Paula's that I have made we have thoroughly enjoyed!
