I was looking for a last minute idea for ground beef and I found this recipe. My family loves it...even my super picky 8 year old. Thanks Paula!

I was looking for a good spaghetti sauce and just happened across this recipe. Since everything that I have ever made from Paula Deen was great before I decided to give it a try. To make a long story short, I am never buying any more jars of spaghetti sauce as long as I live. It has such a terrific flavor and I can't tell you how easy and simple it was to put together. I can't wait for the next family get together so that I can make this sauce for everyone. My daughter tried it too and she LOVES it . Give it a try, it's easy to make and easy on the pocketbook as well. Thank you Paula and Alice Jo for my new spaghetti sauce. Now I really look like I know how to cook.

I was tired of cooking my regular vagie spaghetti and wanted something simple and quick that was delicious. i wanted to swim with the kids instead of cook and i came across this recipe. the ingredients were easy to pull together in a hurry. when i saw worcestshire sauce though i was sure it was a misprint and actually left it out until the very last minute sure that it would not be good. Boy was I wrong! I will never cook spaghetti without it again. So yummy!

So it is the night before pay day and we're down to the bare bones of the pantry. I turned to the internet to find a spaghetti sauce recipe, because I've never made it before. I always buy the Hunts brand and call it a night. Like I said, though, I was down to the bare bones of the pantry when I stumbled upon this recipe. I made it for dinner and my husband was in awe and my picky brother devoured it! They LOVE this spaghetti sauce! My husband just told me that I'm now allowed to loose this recipe! Thanks so much!

I was looking for an easy spaghetti sauce that wasn't too time consuming and tasted great. This was it! I think my green pepper was a little bit big and I will use more garlic next time, but I love the heartiness of this recipe.

Easy to make spaghetti sauce and much better than sauce in a jar.

Tried this receipe after seeing it on tv. This was my first time making a sauce from scratch and I'm 41!! This is not a difficult recipe and I must say it was very flavorful. This definately is a meat sauce though, so if you like it a l ittle saucier this is prob not the best choice. Followed the recipe exactly except i used 1 1/4 lb beef instead of 1.5 lbs. and only 1 tsp sugar. Will be making it again!

I saw this recipe on her show and I read the comments about it. I tried it and was very happy. I did buy the Italian seaoning at the store, I debated, but am glad I did-it has a nice flavor and smell, more than I could get just adding oregano and basil myself. I followed the recipe exactly except I put a little less sugar than it called for and I used brown sugar instead of white. Although I like Worcestershire sauce I wansn't sure how this would be in this recipe-it is just fine. This sauce is meatier than mine, and although I like mine a lot, I will definitely make this again. Sometimes it is nice to follow a recipe exactly and know that it will come out just fine. The big thing about this is that you don't have to cook it so long for the flavors to come out, so on a busy workday it is still doable. Even though you have your own good recipes it is nice to try alternatives. The flavors really work well in this, and when you taste it, you are like wow, this is good. With spaghetti sauce you can get the flavor too sweet, too bland, etc, etc, and with this it is really spot on.

So I loved this recipe, and I'd like to make if for a family dinner but many of them are vegetarians. What can I do to make this meatless, but still great tasting? e.g add more vegetables, or can I just take the meat out all together and not worry about compensating?
