I saw this recipe last week and made it this morning (half awake. I forgot to do the egg wash and dip them in the reserved chopped almonds as seen on Ms. Dean's show. So,after baking, I glazed the swirls & sprinkled them with the reserved almonds. They were perfect & my kids & I came up with variations we'd like to try in the filling; such as orange marmalade and walnuts, strawberry preserves and pecans, or browned sausage and shredded cheese. What a fun and easy breakfast idea. I think this will be a great item to make ahead and have on-hand in the freezer to slice and bake when needed. Thank you, Paula, for your great recipes and most importantly for your inspiration. I've never been to your restaurant, but I own The Lady & Sons, I & II, and I think your life story is amazing.

My girlfriends and I give a lot of Bridal and Baby Showers for girls in our church. These are a perfect addition. They are dainty and delicious!
However, the next time we make these, I'll make a little more filling, we didn't have quite enough for all of the crescent rolls.

I made these for my family and they were a huge hit! I have 2 very picky little boys and they actually had seconds! I wonder how they'd be with different flavored extracts and different nuts, I may try since the recipe is so easy!

I perpared this the night before and baked them the next morning for an easy sweet breakfast treat. I would cut back some on the almond extract next time and use 8oz of cream cheese, it was alittle too rich, otherwise, YUMMY!

Very easy, I added a bit of jam to the filling and also glazed with a tiny bit of jam.
