I wanted to make something a little different than the normal pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving and this one was very good. I will definitaly make this again.

Everyone loved this when I made it at Thanksgiving - the spices in the apple butter really complemented the pumpkin.

This pie was delicious and well-worth making. The apple butter is subtle, but a wonderful compliment to the pumpkin.

In all fairness it was hard to judge this when your mouth is watering for pumpkin pie and this doesn't even have a hint of traditional pie. Maybe if I would have called it something different and not tried it for Thanksgiving, but I'll stick with my old pumpkin pie favorite.

One slice is enough. Better than pumpkin but texture a little soggy. With whipped cream, yummy.

I made two at the same time to elimate wasting ingredients. After pies cooled, one went into the fridge for the weekend so I can bring it to work. The other we started the same eventing and it was "OK". I put it in the fridge for the night and the next night it was actually better, which turned out great as I had unexpected guests that evening and we finished it off. The one I brought to work delicious. People who normally do not like pumpkin pie loved it. I'm keeping this recipe and making notes to refrigerate it a few days before serving.
