    I have always been a stickler for making my pumpkin pie from scratch every year...crust included. Well after watching Paula Deen make this pie AND use a frozen, store bought crust I figured HEY! Why not? It is now going to be my new tradition! It was so good and so easy! I would recommend everyone try it!

    I made this for die hard pumpkin pie lovers and they all gave it a thumbs up! The apple butter gives it great flavor but it is still a good classic pumpkin pie flavor too! Just another reason to love Paula!

    We have used the apple butter"no sugar added" and it did not change on the test. I have never tasted something like that before it is very good.

    I've never been fond of pumpkin pie but made TWO of these pies for Thanksgiving. Everyone in my family loved them, even me! Thanks for another great recipe.

    This one was just ok. I could not tell that much difference from plain old pumpkin pie...maybe it was the brand of apple butter I used?

    This recipe produced the best pumpkin pie I ever tasted. The texture was very smooth and the apple butter gave the pie a little extra kick. The apple butter flavor was noticeable but not overpowering and went very well with the pumpkin.
