This is the first pumpkin pie I have ever made. My husband really loved this pie.....I am just not sure yet. It is a subtle difference that I personally am not sure I will be making again. I will attempt Paula's normal pumpkin pie and then compare. Oh, and her pumpkin gooey cake is divine.

This is a wonderful pie! My local store only had a cider apple butter, and it was great. You can really taste the dif in the pumkin pie that the apple butter adds! The only thing I did dif was on my second pie, I cut a rim of foil to prevent the crust from burning, the high temp for 40 min can burn easy. Paula, Thank You! It was a hit, I made another just for me! :

Excellent pie - my mother stated it is as close to her grandma's pumpkin pie as she has tasted. And that is quite a statement - as grandma was known as quite the cook.

I made this pie for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with my family. It was a big hit and so very tasty. I even used my own home-made pumpkin puree. Highly recommended!

I was searching for pies that used apple butter and i am glad i found this one. It was delicious. the only problem i had was the baking time. mine needed to bake for an extra 15 min before it was done

Thank you, Paula. This pie is spectuclar. There is a bold flavor that adds something extra to that old pumpkin flavor. I also made one using sugar free apple butter and brown sugar Splenda. And a special thanks to the person who gave you this recipe so you could share it with all of your viewers.
