This pie is excellent and very easy to make anyone can do this. To keep your crust from burning buy already made pie crust protector's.

This pie is a big hit with my husband and kids and grandkids.
My husband even asked that I make an extra one for his buddy at work.

This pie was very easy and very good, but I make my own apple butter and it's a lot of work. Wasn't worth putting a whole jar of AB into this because I could barely taste it. Otherwise a very nice pie. Served with vanilla scented whipped cream and pecan pralines as suggested

This is a great pie! I put a slice on a plate next to a slice of regular pumpkin pie and had my daughter (who is a pumpkin pie fanatic! try both, without telling her which was which! She picked this one over the regular! It's yummy! Will be on our Thanksgiving table! Thanks, Paula!!

My husband asked me to make this pie for him but I ate most of it myself! I will NEVER use another recipe. The flavor of this pie is so interesting, the apple butter adds so much life to the pumpkin...it just dances on your tongue. Not to mention this pie turned out better than any other pumpkin pie recipe I have ever used, just for the texture, ease and attractiveness.

When I crave a new recipe, I go to Paula first. You have to go a long way and work really hard to out-do Paula Deen!

This was a good recipe, I would definitely recommend adding more sugar and spices (I did and it was great. This pie needs to be thicker - if you know of a why I would definitely do it for this recipe.

Contrary to what some may say, the apple butter doesn't make up most of the taste or overpower the pumpkin pie. It just adds a different twist. I don't particulary care for most pumpkin pies as they don't taste anything like pumpkin, but rather taste like all the spices (and its usually too much spice for me. The apple butter gives it just the right amount of flavoring. However if you really like regular pumpkin pie, you may not care for it. It's definitely a great variation.

I made this last Thanksgiving. I'm not a big fan of pumpkin pie but with the apple butter it was delicious. What a great compliment of flavors.
