I added this pie along side our 30 year favorite pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. My whole family, even the ones who previously didn't "like" pumpkin pie were fighting for the last piece. I've had to make it twice since Thanksgiving and have two in the oven right now for Christmas. Needless to say, I've retired our old "favorite" recipe & we now have a new pie tradition for our holidays!

My first attempt at pumpkin pie resulted in the best pie at our family's Thanksgiving table. I'm not keen on all the strong spices that go into the pie, except cinnamon, so I just cut back on all that other stuff. Also try this. Substitute two blocks of cream cheese for the milk and bake in a graham cracker crust. Yummy, yummy chessecake!

It was an okay pie, enough to satisfy a sweet tooth but it wasn't as delicious as a traditional pumpkin pie. It also wasn't as luscious; this batter was a bit watery. So I'm sticking to the original.

This pie was so simple to make, and it tastes great. I did like this alot, but since I just love the stronger pumpkin flavors of a traditional pumpkin pie, I would probably go for that instead of this recipe. Unless I was craving for something different, then this would be a nice alternative. : Overall, this was very good. If you're going to make this pie, don't panic if it seems a bit watery in the batter and the baked result. I just put it in the freezer for about one hour after baking, and the pie set nicely. It even tastes good slightly frozen with some whipped cream, if you leave it in there longer. But I just covered it with foil and put it in the fridge. = Nice recipe.

It was soo easy to make and has become a new favorite in our family. Some people in our family who were not fond of pumpkin pie loved it.

I must say that Paula made this pie look so fabulous on tv that I had to try it. I made this pie at 11p one night after getting off work. It was great. I truly enjoyed the twist of the apple butter with the pumpkin. Its definitely a keeper.

I would like first of all to say to Paula how I admire you and the way you had to take charge of you and your boys life and start your business, I know things had to be tough for a while. I hope you get everything your heart wants. And for the pie, I have a 12 year old son who loves pumkin pie. And he thought when his dad (who loves to cookwas going to make a Apple sauce pumkin pie, well he thought it sounded gross. But when he finally tried a piece, he LOVED it. I'll bet I'be mad 10 since I first heard about them on your Thanksgiving show. Keep up the good work. And may God bless you and all your family.
Sincerely
Chris Carter

We had this for Thanksgiving (made by my cousin...We all LOVED it. We make our own Apple Butter (25 gallons in a copper kettle. Now we have another way to eat it besides right out of the jar. I will be making 2 or 3 pies this weekend for MY family get together. I will definately be checking back for more recipes.
