This was a great recipe! I didn't have all the ingredients on hand, so I improvised and it turned out wonderful. I didn't have apple butter, so I used some applesauce and some gingerbread dip I bought at a gourmet store. I didn't have ground ginger, so I used allspice in its place. I also didn't have evaporated milk, but using whole milk worked just as well. I will keep this recipe and use it over and over again!

This is such an easy recipe for how great it tastes. I don't bake much at all, I tend to burn most things in the oven. I tried this last year and had many compliments, decided to try a lattice crust on it this year. If you are supposed to bring a dessert somewhere this holiday season, try this pie.

This was an amazing pie. It was very simple to put together and came out exactly as it should. The apple butter just added a wonderfully different dimension of flavor instead of just the normal plain ol' pumpkin pie (I used a homemade apple butter that was given to me as a gift - YUM YUM. It will remain in my recipe box and be the one I pass on to my friends. Thanks Paula!

this was the BEST pie at Thanksgiving Dinner. Should have made another one. Thank Goodness it's easy to make. Will never make another normal pumpkin pie again. This will be my pumpkin pie recipe from now on

I thought this was a different spin on a classic. I love it. Needless to say, everyone else wanted the classic. Just to let you know that I thought it was very unique, tasty and had a hmmmm to it. Thanks for sharing this recipe with the world.

We had this for our early ThanksTurkey Day dinner and it was great. Even better, though, was this peek at the Good Ol' Paula - - back when she was REAL. No blue hair and orange face. Paula, I love YOU, not this phoney gal who has hijacked your show!!! We want PAULA back!!!!!

Amazing pumkin pie!!! the best I have ever tasted and made!!! I made 8 apple butter pumpkin pies for my neighbors and they ALL loved it!!!! The neighbor across from me brought it to his mothers home and she cried in tears because it brought back memories of her childhood when her grandmother made pumpkin pie..she said it tasted just like it!!! IT'S A WINNER..enjoy the recipe it was worth every hour in the kitchen!!!

Overall, this recipe was just good. On the plus side, it was super easy and quick to make. I had all the ingredients on hand. On the negative side, my husband said that it was a little overspiced (and I had added LESS nutmeg than called for but had two more pieces the next day and said that it tasted better after sitting. I love apple butter, but this just wasn't for me. The flavors didn't meld like they did in my mind. Good recipe for a quick fix, but will not be taking to Thanksgiving dinner.
