I was so excited to try a new stuffing recipe this year. I got all the ingredients and followed the recipe to a T (I was debating on making a 1/2 recipe.. and wish I would have While I was preparing it, I was doubting how good it would be just because of the ingreidents going together.. I really didn't think apples, cranberrys and red peppers would go together? But I thought it would all turn out in the end. WRONG. This stuffing was not good..Luckily we made back up...traditional stuffing.. or our dinner would not have been complete. The stuffing is pretty bland, and the flavors don't blend together. If you have your heart set on making this.. I would definatly go WITHOUT the red peppers.. they threw everything off. Even the onions were a little odd. I would have been fine with just the sweet bread, apples, cranberrys and cinnamon (I would probably add some more spices tho for a kind of dessert stuffing, but it was way too much going on. Sorry Paula.. but for those of you thinking about trying this.. don't waste your time :(

Do not, I repeat, do NOT make this recipe. I made it for my family on Thanksgiving today. I saw one family member spit it back out on their plate, and our dog, wouldn't even touch it! The other post said that the red pepper was overpowering, we thought that the taste of celery was just disgusting. It had absolutely no flavor. We ended up throwing it in the garbage. This is one recipe I hope NO ONE would ever make, much less eat. Paula, I am disappointed!

Wow! We usually just make a plain old stuffing. This year I took it upon myself to try something new. Not only is this stuffing really tasty it is also beautiful! It complements the flavor of the turkey like you would not believe! The key for mine was chopping all the veggies really small so they don't overpower the rest of the dish. For the apples I chopped some small and some large so that the taste was stronger! We like our stuffing with a little more seasoning so I added a little more cinnamon and a little more pepper! I cooked it for about 38 minutes to get it a little on the dry side. Great Job Paula, this was a perfect dish!

i normally dont like stuffing but i just made this dish just to try something different for thanksgiving and i thought it was very tasty. I didn't use a whole red pepper or onion i used about half. Added salt & pepper to my taste and it came out very good. Its very moist, which I don't like so I left it in the oven alittle longer about 10minutes.

I am so disappointed in this recipe!! First of all, the hawaiian bread is expensive, so the recipe costs a lot to make. probably 15- 20 bucks. I made it exactly as stated and the stuffing is really bland. It needs many more spices in it to make it edible. The red pepper in it is also very nasty..... it over powers the whole dish and makes the stuffing taste entirely like red pepper. After I had everyone in my house taste it, we threw it away and made our regular stuffing. Dont make it! Paula I am disappointed!!
