My family and I really enjoyed these pies. I can't believe how easy they were to make. Who would've thought that biscuits rolled out to 7-8-inch circles would make such good dough for cooked apples? I can't wait to make these again! Thanks, Paula.

    Awesome!!!!
To get the pie to cook through, refrigerate it for 30 minutes before frying it. If using a smaller fryer, flip it when one side is browned.

This was very easy to make. Every one in my family loved it, my kids wanted more, more ,more!! Don't forget or scrimp on the powdered sugar.

The apple mixture in this is just addictive. I had to stop myself from eating spoonfuls so that I would have enough to use as filling! Altogether a great treat.

These were absolutely great and so easy! I had read the reviews prior to making them. Knowing we would not eat all of them right away, I did not brown a few of them completely. I stored them in a zipper bag on paper towels, and the next day put them on a cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes. They came out flaky and slightly crisp on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside! We'll make these often!!

The filling was fantastic, but when I fried them for the amount of time the recipe says, they came out BLACK on the outside and raw inside. I did another batch; rolled the dough as thin as I could get it, fried them for less time, took them out when they were perfectly golden brown, and the dough inside was not done! We ate them anyway, and just picked off the raw dough, but I will not try this one again. I suspect the altitude may have something to do with it. Anyone else in a high altitude with this problem?

These pies are so easy to make and are great with all kinds of other fillings. I make raspberry and blueberry in addition to apple and they are always gone before they've cooled!

These were delicious!!! I did them the first time like her recipe and the 2nd time, with no apples on hand, I just put butter in the middle of the dough and apple pie filling and sprinkled it with cinnamon sugar. Omg, it is delicious!!!
