There is a very similar recipe to this under "Old Fashioned Meatloaf" Instead of tomato paste you use a can of diced tomato. I made that instead because of the negative reviews of the "tomato" taste from the paste on this recipe. It turned out good.

I made this recipe, but added plain bread crumbs instead of oatmeal. Topping was tasty. I will make again. Thanks Aunt Peggy!

I made a add ground pork with the beef and garlic. I sauteed the green pepper onions and garlic before mixing it in the meat. It was delicious and my family loved it.

I made this meatloaf for dinner tonight and it turned out delicious. I doubled the recipe so that I would have some left over to make sandwiches tomorrow. My husband loved it!! I used the quick cooking oats plus I also added some Italian breadcrumbs. I substituted a small can of tomato sauce for the tomato puree and also used another small can of tomato sauce instead of the ketchup for the glaze (I didn't have any of either of those and it turned out great. I used 3 garlic cloves but I think I'll only use 2 for the double recipe next time. I had some fresh basil and fresh oregano and chopped those up and added them to the loaf. The top glaze is just delicious -- I just used what I had on hand for the mustard -- which was Grey Poupon Spicy Mustard. Since I doubled the recipe I cooked it for 20 additional minutes and it was perfect. Oh, I also used a trick both my mom and my husband's used to add which was a cut up piece of bacon (cut into 4 strips for the top. Yummy!

I made this for dinner last night and my family loved it. I'm making meatball kabobs just like this at my cookout this weekend, I can't wait.

I've fixed this meal at the fire station and at home, been a great success both places. I add a red bell pepper also with the green just for a little more flavor, filler, and color; seems to work great. The glaze/sauce for the top is incredible, nice flavor. I have found that if you don't use a dijon mustard, the taste is not quite the same. Highly recommend!!!!!

This was so delicious! I have a big family so I doubled on everything. The only thing I changed was I used breadcrumbs rather than the oats, only because the breadcrumbs have a lot of good seasoning. Other than that I followed this recipe and it was a huge hit! Great meal to start off a Monday back to work!

Wonderful! I made it with turkey and it still came out great. Flavorful and the glaze takes it over the top and makes it even better.
