Cut the sugar?! Are you serious!! It's the holiday's folks. While I don't suggest eating like this daily, this one ranks as high as the "red" Kool Aid in the refrigerator!!! Gotta have it! It was easy and the hit of our Easter menu. It will certainly show up again on our dinner table!

EXCELLENT!! Fixed this for Easter Sunday - thank goodness I read the reviews on the sugar. Whoa ~ I could not imagine adding that much sugar. I added only 1/2 C for the souffle and left off the topping completely - I simply added nuts and mini-marshmellows in the last 5 minutes for a quick toasting. Too dang good!! Thanks Paula!

AWESOME!! Took it over to friends house for Thanksgiving my first sweet potato souffle, not knowing how it would turn out or if anyone would like it, oh boy they sure did. In general I don't like sweet potatoes but this recipe made me want to eat it the whole thing. My husband loved it so much that he has made me make it three more times since then. The only thing that I changed was instead of 2 cups of sugar I put 1 cup making it just right in sweetness.

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it. When I was planning my Christmas dinner my family and friends called and they all requested this dish. It is excellent. Thank you Aunt Peggy and the Deen

Made this for our large family Christmas party and my immediate family requested it for Christmas dinner. My dad was upset that my mom didn't grab some left overs from the first party. The missing star is only because I read the reviews and also cut the sugar in half. I may even go to a 1/3 C granulated next time. I also only used 3/4 C brown sugar for the topping.

This was my first time making this and it turned out fantastic! Zero disappointment! The soufle was sweet and smooth, the praline topping took me to another universe, if your on the list to make this during the holidays, look no further folks,

This recipe should be listed in the dessert section. Far too sweet! I reduced the sugar by half and it was still obnoxiously sweet.

I am one of those who thinks sweet potatoes are great with butter and salt and pepper, so when I saw 2 cups of sugar to 3 cups of mashed sweet potatoe, I sat back a little. I adjusted the sugar to 1/3 c and I probably had 4 or 5 cups of mashed potatoes. I skipped the topping as well. It was delicious to me. Not overly sweet, just a little light in texture, and the mexican vanilla I used was just great in this dish. My family who like a little more sweetness, seemed to like it the way I made it. I do like Paula's food! I gave it 3 stars because of the amount of sugar I eliminated.
