Was afraid of making ribs until I found this recipe - it is perfect for a first timer! Great news is, I'll never have to buy BBQ sauce again...I added a little more brown sugar for balance, but the taste is near perfect! I may have to try this sauce for pulled pork too!!!

The secret to this fabulous recipe is the lemon! It adds a fantastic acidity to the ribs. I prefer to add more lemon and sauce to the baking portion so that when they're done on the grill, they go back into the yummy pan juices to rest. We made these ribs many times for just ourselves and for a group. They were the hit of the party. Highly recommend you try it, thanks Paula!

I love Paula's recipes but I didn't care for this bbq sauce. I understand they are bourbon ribs but I think the taste of the bourbon was too much for me. Maybe I should have cut the amount of bourbon in half. The cooking technique was GREAT! I will always make my ribs this way. I just think this was a matter of personal taste!

I'm pregnant so I substituted the bourbon/beer for apple juice...SO YUMMY!!!

This was a no brainer and so easy. I was especially happy that there was no rub involved...we've been finding that the rubs of late have been too spicy, salty or overpowering. Just using the sauce was PERFECT!

Such an easy recipe, but very tasty. My family is not big into barbeque, but they fell in love with these ribs. They ask me all the time when we are going to have them again.

..and I don't even eat meat! They were so popular, and I kept moving the meat around on the grill so it got nice and crispy yet not burnt. What a great, simple recipe..I marinated overnight, then baked them, making them super-tender.... Paula's the best!
