I love this meatloaf. I usually change it to meatballs though. This is my husband favorite dish, so he does not like to wait for the big meatloaf to cook. The meatballs are usually done in 15-20 minutes. He asks for this dish for his birthday's and on our anniversary.

What a great idea of putting slices of bread in the bottom of the pan. This was a pretty good meatloaf. Next time i'll add minced onion and garlic.

This was a great recipe. I substituted bbq sauce for the ketchup mixture. My bf couldn't stop raving about it.

I lined the bottom of my cake pan with bread like she showed on her TV show. I could have cooked it a little longer than the 55 minutes, but it was fabulous!

Totally exellent. Having regular meatloaf seems so bland now. Have got others hooked on it also.

A great change of pace, really enjoyed it. I think using chuck would make the whole thing greasy, try using lower fat ground beef, it worked perfectly for us.

This is the BEST!! My Husband requested this 3 times in one week. He just couldn't get enough of it. I even made extra so he could take it to work and eat during his breaks..I had watched Paula make it on TV and liked that she added sliced bread under the Meatloaf to soak up the exess grease. Hubby thinks that is the best part..

This was really yummy! I followed the recipe exactly except added a little extra ketchup on top. Some people complained that it was greasy, but I used 93/7 ground beef and light mayo and it wasn't unusually greasy, just moist. The only thing I would do differently next time is to not add salt, I think the bacon made it salty enough. Also, if you're looking for a traditional meatloaf, this isn't it, it tastes more like a burger than a meatloaf. I served this with roasted brussel sprouts and carrots, I figured with all the grease, I should hold back on the carbs, but it would have been great to have some crusty bread! It seems like it would make and AMAZING sandwich!! Paula is a culinary genius!!
