My boyfriend made this for me (he never cooks...it's that easy. It was very tasty. You could really taste the bacon cheeseburger flavor. This is a Paula Deen recipe though, so you can't really act surprised that it is fairly greasy. We also used the loaf pan, and it essentially boiled in grease, so we will probably do the rack next time.

I'm not a meatloaf person but my husband liked it. If I make this again, will lighten it up a bit. Turkey bacon and light mayo. This needs the onion rings to kick the flavor. Don't skimp on the cheese. I'll bet the left overs make good sandwiches.

Made this for my husband and he loved it! I made a few changes: used ground turkey instead of beef and double the amount. Used turkey bacon instead of regular bacon. Omitted mayo. Used my food processor to make my own bread crumbs out of wheat bread and to finely chop some mushrooms. Omitted the fried onion because I didn't have it on hand. Added onion powder for onion flavor. It took longer to cook, but it wasn't dry and it makes great leftovers the next day! This is a definite keeper.

THIS IS AMAZING!! It is so easy to make. I actually doubled it for leftovers. My teenagers just loved it (which is not an easy feat!! I will definitely be making it many times again.

Very greasy, it may have been better with less bacon. Also, if I try it again I will definitely not use a loaf pan, the grease needs to be able to drain away.

Totally delicious!!!! I want to eat this all the time but since it might not necessarily be the healthiest choice so I made some changes to this to try and make it a little more all the time friendly.
1.Instead of ground beef I use all white meat ground turkey
2.Add a sweated onion
3.Delete the bread crumbs and replaced it with some of the crushed french fried onions
4.Use aready made bacon bits
5.Replace the cheddar with low fat sharp cheddar cheese.
I bake it at 350 in a muffin tin for about 30-35mins so the whole thing doesn't dry out, now I can eat this way more often and not feel guilty.

Just a suggestion, for people who don't like traditional bread crumbs, this might sound weird but my grandma uses Ritz crackers instead and I love her meatloaf recipe. I'm going to try this recipe out using Gram's substitution. I'm expecting it to be great considering my cooking idols are Gram and Paula Deen. :

It was OK. I thought the mustard flavor was a little overwhelming. Next time I would omit it. I didnt use the onions either. Maybe that was what was missing, because the flavor was just OK.

The cheese does not compliment the meatloaf at all.
