This is the best meatloaf I have ever eaten. The only substitution I made was to use spicy ketchup instead of regular ketchup. It truly was yummy.

Paula Deen is a Culinary GODDESS !!
Basically, I try to eat healthy on a regular basis
But with any lifestyle / diet / etc.. You need cheat days
I reserve these for Goddess Paula's recipe's.... Never dissapoint
I mean, if you ate her food regularly, You'd need Cardiac bypass surgery
HAIL TO GODDESS PAULA =

I mentioned to a friend of mine that I was attempting this recipe; he quickly shot back that it was his opinion Paula regularly tried to kill her audience with the sheer splendor of fat and calories in some of her recipes. While I don't think there's any malicious intent from Paula in this recipe, I did find it extremely heavy and exceptionally greasy. I followed the recipe to the letter, except I used ground sirloin instead of ground chuck.
I found the meatloaf good, but it's not something I'll ever have to make again. And frankly, the grease congealed in the bottom of the meatloaf pan gave me pause when I looked at it for sandwiches the next day. Still, it did make for a decent sandwich.

Was my 1st time making meatloaf. This was soooo yummy. My boyfriend tends to over-do it with ketchup on Most of his meals. He didnt add ANY to this recipe, I was shocked!! lol I didnt have french fried onions so instead I topped it with grated marble cheese and bread crumbs, put it on broil in the last 10-15 mins of cooking it. Nice crunchy top. I served it with Scalloped potatos and green beans. Was awesome.

My Family loved this I served it with mashed sweet potatoes and fresh broccoli and a large salad, next time I make it I'll use ground turkey and add about a half cup of bread crumbs,
It was amazing and I look forward to adding it to my collection
