My family of nine had this last night and 8 out of 9 loved it {#3 son "liked it ok"} however I noticed he had eaten all that was on his plate and had seconds...so go figure...he's a teenager lol!. Because of the size of my family and the fact we usually have at least 1-2 extra kids visiting I made 2 meatloaves. I mixed it together in the morning before work and had the kids pop it into the oven about 20 min before I got home and just had to put some med size red poatoes in the pressure cooker and toss a salad, Added butter and parsley to potatoes and gave them a few stirs and dinner was ready. I wasn't sure about the consistancy but like most meats after "resting" for about 10 min. it was fine. The only way it could have been better was if I had time to prepare that choc. cake I saw Paula make on the same TV segment..it looked so good..will try it next time..lol. I don't understand like some of the rest of you readers..how in the world do you rate a recipe...either good or bad without making it first! They didn't even eat it after someone else made it. Just doesn't make sense! To bad food network doesn't have a way after these people rate these like this to block access to them and not allow them to rate recipes at all. Not only have they not fixed it, they actually have the nerve to give it a poor rating! I think most are just bored trouble makers and it is only a way to get attention, which I guess worked because it sure "ticked" me off. Anyway We will be adding this to our dinner menue and as a mom of 7 plus all their friends this was a great economical recipe they liked which is important when trying to fix healthy good meals for a large family these days and trying to stay away from the "fast food" so we have a great family dinner that all like and doesn't break the bank. This was easy to get on the table, and what was left over the oldest took to school in a sandwich..."claiming it as taken" as soon as dinner was over. Hope you enjoy!

This recipe was easy to make & very flavorful!!!! I will definately make it again.
The only negative thing I can say is that it is very rich & filling. My husband could only eat half as much as he usually does, and I could only eat a small piece. Nevertheless, this recipe is a definate keeper.
    Thank you, Paula!!!!!!!!

I love Paula and her recipes. She is one of my favorite cook/chefs on Food Network. This recipe, however, is not one of her hits. It's a miss. With all the great ingredients, I thought it would be wonderful. It isn't. I was really disappointed. I'm still a great fan of Paula. This recipe just didn't come up to her usual standards.

I ususally don't care for meatloaf but took a try at this one last night and it was yummy!! Mother and hubby had seconds and I'm looking forward to sandwiches tonight! Thanks, Paula - another one of your winners and the only meatloaf I'll make again! Tender and moist but I did use chili sauce instead of catsup. [Family preference.]
