Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt or powder
  • 12 slices bacon
  • 24 (4 1/2-inch) long sesame breadsticks (1 package)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a mixing bowl, combine the Parmesan with garlic salt and set aside. Cut the bacon slices in half so they are approximately 5-inches long. Wrap each bread stick with 1 slice of bacon, starting at 1 end and ending at the other. Place wrapped bread sticks on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is browned. Remove from oven and immediately roll bread sticks in cheese mixture. Let cool and serve at room temperature.

    Bacon Wrapped Breadsticks Most Excellent

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
These have quickly become a family favorite. Along with the bread sticks I serve them with a Honey Mustard dipping sauce-... same recipe as Paula's except I use honey mustard.Read more

    Eh.

I just took these out of the oven about 10-15 minutes ago. I let them cool before I tasted them. The flavor is awesome, but... the breadsticks got soggy. I cooked mine on a stone pan because usually when I use those pans, everything comes out crispy. I even used reduced fat bacon and it was still too much grease. Maybe after they sit here longer they will get harder? I don't know. I am supposed to serve these tomorrow at a bridal shower. The verdict is still out.Read more

These breadsticks were a huge hit

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
A little time consuming but worth it. I didn't have any problems with too much bacon grease like others had stated. They... were gone in no time at all. Family loved them. Read more

    Hard to execute

It was almost impossible to get this to execute successfully. It was sort of tasty, but getting the bacon to cook without... burning the breadsticks didn't work. I'd advise against this recipeRead more

    MMMMMMM! MUST TRY!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Okay, 3 years ago, I was watching the amazing Paula Dean, and saw this very cool southern looking recipe. So of course,... Thanksgiving rolled around the corner, and I took a shot, and tried it! The second I popped 'em out of the oven my within 10 minutes all 24 breadsticks were gone! I did modify it a bit. I didn't do a mixture, I just sprinkled a little parmesan cheese on top! It was delicous!Read more
